Palisade High School is filled with great academics and student athletes, but Maggie Brown represents our school’s heart and grit with her Colorado Special Olympics Athlete of the Month title.
Maggie Brown (seventeen years) is a student who always brings smiles, laughter, and happiness everyday. In honor of her spirit, Colorado Special Olympics named Brown the athlete of the month. I talked with Brown, who was very excited to reminisce about that day. “It was a fun and very special day,” she says. Brown went on to talk about herself, saying “in my free time I love watching Power Rangers. I have my own Power Ranger moves.” Brown has been competing for 10 years in every sport you can think of, but her favorite of all time is swimming. Brown also has a competitive spirit, as she states, “I like to win.” Congratulations Maggie, you represent Palisade everyday and are proud of your accomplishments! Way to be a Bulldog!
