Palisade High School’s basketball team is awesome! These guys know how to play, and they’re not just teammates they’re like a family. The coaches do a great job pushing them to be their best on the court. What’s cool is how these players support each other, no matter what. It’s not just about winning games it’s about having each other’s backs. You can feel their teamwork when they play, and it’s pretty inspiring. It’s not all about basketball for them they also get involved in helping out around the community. Whether it’s lending a hand at events or being mentors to younger kids, they’re making a positive impact off the court too.
I went to a Practice and interviewed a freshman Dalton Mecouch who made the team. “Coach Cory is great and good at being a coach because he works us so hard and I’m just dying at the end of every practice. I mean, of course, I hope the season goes well and I hope I can prove my skill to others during the season.”The practices are over and practices have begun so make sure you support our players by attending the games and cheering them on. The team’s first game will be at Moffat County on November 30 at 5. To prepare the team will be practicing in Palisade’s two gyms after school gets out every weekday.
