Bulldogs Dominate the Season
The Palisade High School boy’s baseball team eat, sleep, and breathe baseball. You can truly see the passion the boys have for the sport while they play. The varsity team spent their spring break traveling to Arizona to compete against great teams. “It was a great experience, we played against some of the best pitchers and teams. Challenging us, in the beginning, has really helped us this season.” Said freshman William Seriani. The boy’s record is 9-6 with a 5-0 league record. They currently have been on a 7 game-win streak. This past week the Bulldogs took on the Fruita Wildcats in a game at Stocker Stadium. For the first time in many years, the Bulldogs took the win! Ryker Harsha led the Bulldogs to the victory from the mound. “The game went really well. I did pretty amazing. I was so excited when we won the 7th inning and struck Keeden out.” Ryker has been on the varsity team all four years of high school. “It’s been a lot of fun, it’s really been a grind. It’s hard getting the bond with seniors then they leave but it’s been good. Our coach helps us all bond together.” With eight games left in the season, the boys are preparing for a long ride to the state game. Wish the boys luck when you see them in the hallways.
