The Christmas season is sliding around the corner, and there’s events to make every part of the fun. Palisade High School’s STUCO puts on many events and ways for people to earn rewards. Spike on the shelf was originally Jingle Bell Rock but was changed to have more of a school related event. Spike on the Shelf is where the student body finds a Spike throughout the school that is hidden. If you find it you can get prizes from STUCO. The Student council president, William Neese says, “ This is going on for the 12 days of Christmas, which is until Christmas.” Everyone can participate and can always help make this a more widespread tradition here at Palisade. “We changed from the Jingle Bell Rock because it was easier to find and the prizes are just as good,” says Neese. “I hope that the student body and STUCO continue to follow through with this tradition for the years ahead,” Neese added. You can always join STUCO and help plan these kinds of events, and help out your fellow students with making their high school years better. Mr.Smith the Student council advisor says: “we plan on doing this every year, and the Spike on the Shelf is going to be sometime during the week before Christmas break”. ”Make sure to always be on the lookout for Spike on the Shelf, (perchance flip a page to seek Spike in the library). Good luck students and have a great Christmas break!
