Back again from a long break to show off our shining female athlete of the week swimmer Emily Hardin! Congratulations to highlight a talented, hardworking and more specifically a four year dedicated swimmer.
Being chosen as AOTW at Palisade High School truly represents what it means to be a student athlete and senior Emily Hardin is a perfect representation of that. Hardin says, “It feels good that I am representing my team. I think the swim team doesn’t get a lot of recognition so being able to represent my team feels honorable.” What it means to be a student athlete at Palisade High School is being able to do school and your sport that your passionate about. Hardin also states, “Over the four years i’ve been doing swimming i’ve gained more interest. Not even just that but it tests my limits mentally and physically.”
Hardin also talks about her team and how it has made her a better swimmer. Hardin says “I enjoy the team aspect of swim because it makes me work harder and feel contributed to my school and athletic community.”
Hard work does not get unrecognized because we recognize the hard working athletes every week. We need more student athletes in our community and and being chosen this is representing what it means to be a Palisade student athlete.
