The Palisade Paw Post is proud to present this week’s Athlete of the Week, brought to you by Palisade Dino Mart. This week’s winner is a sophomore at Palisade High School representing the Palisade girl’s basketball team, Imari Bosshardt. Bosshardt is a standout two-sport athlete that has earned her spot on the Varsity basketball team, and has been growing through each season and each challenge it has brought.
Bosshardt is a devoted player that strives for growth and perfection through her athletic career, and is pursuing to carry her basketball career past high school. There is much support coming from family, friends, and coaches through each and every game, and Bosshardt expresses her gratitude for the encouragement that she receives. Other than her athletics, Bosshardt expounds on her favorite hobbies that give her the peace and confidence that she showcases on the court. “Other than basketball and soccer, I enjoy going to church, and hanging out with friends and family.” Bosshardt focuses on creating a close relationship with the close people in her life, and putting all of her effort onto the court for the glory of God.
Bosshardt has received many opportunities that have brought her to where she is now, such as getting playing time on the Varsity basketball and Varsity soccer team as a freshman giving her the experience that she has grown from. “My biggest accomplishment would be getting playing time on the basketball team as a freshman.” As well as the people and friendships that being on the basketball team has brought to her, Bosshardt comments, “I love the team bonding and the environment that this basketball team brings.” There are also many role models in Bosshardt’s life that give her the goals that she has worked so hard to achieve, and when Bosshardt is asked who is her biggest inspiration, she quotes, “My biggest inspirations in my life are family, friends, and Devin Booker.”
Bosshardt’s hard work, dedication, and the preparation to grow each day is what makes her a standout athlete. Her strong performances and positive energy brings a significant impact on the team. Congratulations, Imari Bosshardt, on receiving Athlete of the Week.
