Palisade Junior, MacKenzie Gray, is the female Athlete of the Week, brought to you by Palisade Dino Mart. Gray is a varsity softball player where she plays pitcher and outfield. For 11 years, she has been perfecting her game, leading her to success as she plays starting varsity and has been for all three years of high school. Her hope is to pursue softball in college. Her advice to anyone is, “give it your all and don’t let your teammates or coaches ruin your love for the game. Always give it your 100%, I promise someone is watching.” Her biggest inspiration is her twin sister, Madi Gray, who also plays varsity softball. “Even after all the injuries, she always comes back stronger and has the drive to keep going,” Gray says when referring to her sister. “My mom is also my biggest inspiration because she never lets anything that’s out of her control get to her and I always strive to be like her.” Gray’s favorite game this season was their home game against Fruita, where they beat them. Congratulations MacKenzie Gray on Athlete of the Week!

Brielle Sorensen, Co-Editor in Chief
Sup, I’m Brielle Sorensen! I am a senior and this is my third year working with the Palisade Paw Post. I am this year's co-editor in Chief. Some of my hobbies include reading classic novels, watching and analyzing movies (horror is my favorite genre), hiking, being outdoors, running, listening to music, and hanging out with my friends and family. I’m involved in many things here at Palisade including Cross Country, NHS and of course the Paw Post. Here’s to a great year!
