Palisade Junior, Jayden Ford, is one of the two male Athletes of the Week brought to you by Palisade Dino Mart. Ford plays soccer and plays as a striker. Ford has been playing since he was 6 years old and this is his 3rd year playing for Palisade. Ford states, “I started playing because my older brother played it, but then I actually started enjoying it so I kept doing it.” Ford brings a lot of skill, motivation, and advice to the players, “I help our team to score a bunch of goals and I also boost morale when I score freaking bangers. When I’m not scoring, I am trying to communicate with my team and help them organize.” Ford loves the sport and enjoys playing for the Palisade soccer team. Ford mentions, “My favorite thing about soccer is scoring. The feeling of seeing the ball hit the back of the net is amazing.” When Ford is not on the soccer field, you can find him in the wintertime snowboarding, and in the summertime skateboarding, or as of right now learning piano. Ford states, “My biggest inspiration is my older brother. He is 4 years older than me and is going to School of Mines right now.” Ford admits, “My greatest accomplishment in soccer probably has to be getting the opportunity to do camps in foreign countries such as Thailand, Germany, and Spain. Ford’s hard work, skill, motivation, and inspiration will lead the Palisade soccer team to more victories. Good luck to the Palisade soccer team on the rest of their season, and special congratulations to Jayden Ford on receiving Athlete of the Week!
