“Your Homecoming King and Queen Are . . .” were the words that echoed throughout the gym. This past Friday, Palisade held an all school assembly to start off Homecoming week. Ana Lopes’ thoughts on the assembly were: “I really liked the assembly, I thought the games were really fun and when they had to announce who won royalty that was also very cool and exciting. They explained everything to the new people, like how Homecoming week works.” Homecoming is a special event for schools. It brings more joy to people and it’s a fun way to get together and bring Palisades spirit out! “The main focus of the assembly was for the homecoming dance and for the royalty. It encourages the school spirit by making fun activities and like people being a part of dressing up and having points so people are competitive to get the spirit bone.”
Having assemblies is also a great way to enjoy school spirit and be able to have fun throughout the school year including playing games such as the rolling table game. You could say we had a bunch of different thoughts on that game. Ana Lopes says, “ it was a really fun game. At first, I didn’t really understand the concept of the game but once I saw students doing the game and demonstrating it, it was really interesting and it looked like the students and teachers were enjoying the game the whole time.” The assembly was all fun in games and everyone had a blast!
