J.V. Football Takes The Win
On Monday this past week our JV football team took down the Meeker JV football team and it was brutal! The boys started out getting a lot of flags in the first half of the game. By halftime, the score was at 32-0, even with a rough start out. But by the end of the game, the final score was 38-0 leaving our team with the win!
We were able to interview a manager Dakota Rogers, and a player Layne Ruppelius on the football team. We asked Dakota how she thinks the game went overall, “It was a lot of fun, the boys were having a lot of fun with all the plays and enjoying their time, and winning and they were all very excited that they did win, so I am very proud of them for that. I think it went pretty smoothly, you know a lot more smoothly than usual so that is a good thing, I just think overall it went pretty good and the boys enjoyed themselves, which is usually what you want in those games.” And when we talked to Lane about how he felt the game went he answered, “ I feel like it went pretty well, we should have scored a lot more in the first half though.” We asked him his thoughts on why he thought that “Mistakes like penalties, bad decisions.” We have all been through some rough calls in sports so we understand. With the season almost to an end, we should all make sure we make it to the last few games of the football team, be there to support our team, and show our school pride!
