The Palisade Bulldogs’ fifth game of the season was delayed, unfortunately, due to lightning.
The match against Central High School was supposed to start at 3:30 PM, but instead started at about 5 PM due to the lightning delay.” When the game started, the Bulldogs started on the wrong foot, conceding a goal in the first ten minutes. Getting scored on seemed to have made the Bulldogs change their speed, because a few minutes after getting scored on, they proceeded to score 3 goals, and later in the game scored another goal, leaving the score 4-1before getting rescheduled due to lightning. Officials claimed the game would be rescheduled for another day, but it will start in the 35th minute with the score staying 4-1. After getting scored on, Senior Jayden Ford scores a banger against Central and proceeds to score a perfect penalty kick, top right corner. A few minutes later, Junior Cy Hobbs scores a beautiful goal, putting the Bulldogs up 3-1. Then, just before the game ended, Junior Jhonathan Hayes scored another goal, leaving the game 4-1 before it got rescheduled to another day. Sophomore Huxley Peak defined the way he felt about the game as “sad” because it got rescheduled to another day and “happy” because, after all, the Bulldogs were up 4-1 before the game ended. “We played really well but conceded one goal,” said Peak. This explains to us that the Bulldogs are very happy they left the game.
