Student Council plays a huge part at Palisade High School in fostering the community. Student Council is in charge of planning dances, tailgates, school decorating, spirit weeks, along with assemblies, and after school events. StuCo has a lot to do with fun events around the school that many high school kids don’t realize. Recently, Student Council has been very busy planning and preparing for Homecoming on October 4th. Last year’s theme for Homecoming was Wild West, and it brought a unique flair. Senior Regyn Coolbaugh states, “I felt like it was a lot of fun. I got to hang out with a lot of friends of mine and it was really nice to get away from the everyday stress of school, especially at this early point in the year, because homework can be a lot.” Coolbaugh notes her favorite event of the year is the homecoming football game that StuCo helps with as it is heartwarming to watch everyone come together as a school. Ian Shiao, a Senior and the StuCo president says, “Currently we’re working on Homecoming right now, and I can’t say the theme yet but it’s pretty fun. I’m the head of the dance committee so I’ll be decorating the dance floor. Right now we are just prepping for Homecoming in October and it’s going to be a great time and there will be a lot of fun festivities happening as well!” With this being said, it is obvious that this homecoming will be fantastic, because of the dedicated student council, and the supportive body of peers.

Ronix Lundberg, STAFFWRITER
Hi, I’m Ronix Lundberg and I’m a freshman. This is my first year writing for Palisade Paw Post so I’m excited to start. Some hobbies I have are all the sports, camping, being outdoors, videogames, wakeboarding, playing with family, and four wheeling. My favorite food is orange chicken and this year I will be playing basketball and baseball at Palisade. Something really important to me is my family and my religion.
