A New Era Begins

As the sun rises over the field, signaling the start of a new season, the Palisade high school baseball team is ready for a fresh chapter. With a mix of seasoned veterans and eager newcomers, the team enters 2025 with high hopes and the drive to make this season one to remember. The squad is anchored by a strong defense, with returning players filling key positions across the diamond. The infield is solid, with experienced players providing leadership, while the outfield brings speed and versatility. On the mound, the team’s pitching staff looks poised to deliver, with a special mix of impressive under and upperclassmen, promising arms ready to take on the competition. Offensively, the team is focused on consistency and taking advantage of every opportunity. While the lineup will need to find its rhythm early on, the players are determined to bring a balanced approach to the plate, blending power with contact hitting. This year’s schedule is filled with tough opponents, but the team is prepared to face the challenges ahead. Every game will be an opportunity to improve, and the players are determined to leave it all on the field. As Jacob Porras, a freshman pitcher for Palisade High School states, “we’re in a tougher league with tough opponents. but I feel like we are still gonna dominate.” He also stated, “the team has a great work ethic and were all ready for the season to start.” With a strong work ethic and the right mindset, this team could be primed for success. The tough journey has just begun for C- team JV and Varsity. We wish nothing but the best for our Bulldogs!
