Heads up! Students and Staff, for the upcoming week including this Friday, and September 9-13 we have some crazy events and a whole lot of fun coming up while getting ready for HOMECOMING! Morgan Montgomery, senior class president, tells us the upcoming events. She states, “ Starting this Friday, we have Hall Decorating at 5:30 to help your respected classes decorate the hallway. After, is the drive-in movie, if you help your class with the hall decorations, you get in for free for the movie. Then, starting next week we start Spirit Week with Spirit Days everyday. Monday is Camo Out, Tuesday is West Coast vs. Wild West, Wednesday is Granola, Thursday is Denim Out, and Friday is USA Day.” Remember, students who participate in these events get points for their grade and get closer to the chance to win the Spirit Bone which gives you bragging rights. Half of next week Palisade High School has something called Powder Puff and Ruff N’ Tuff in where Girls and Boys ‘switch roles’ in sports. Montgomery states, “…This is where the girls play dodgeball and the guys play volleyball.” Next we have some events with volleyball and football that are coming up next week for Thursday and Friday. “On Thursday is the Homecoming volleyball game, there’s a Tailgate before the game starts at 6:00. Then on Friday is the football game in which the theme is USA.” Last but not least is Homecoming on September 14, 2024, here’s Montgomery with the details. “The dance is on Saturday from 7:00 to 10:00 PM but prime time is 8:00 to 9:00 PM.”
