“Swing batter swing” is what the crowd was chanting at this Tuesday’s softball game as our Palisade Bulldogs faced off against the Rifle Bears. Leaving the score 6-4 as they go home with a happy victory. Palisade defense looked the best they have this season making stop after stop. As Kaci Hoskins, one of our softball players, stated, “our defense was looking amazing.” Kaci is a Senior and has been playing with the Palisade softball team for all four years of high school. Kaci is also a three sport athlete for Palisade playing softball and lacrosse, and she is also a girls swimmer. Kaci bounces around positions going to the main infield, also playing a little bit outfield. Kaci and the rest of our Palisade varsity players are playing in a tournament this weekend in Denver. Their first game being against Mead softball. As the Bulldogs run into victory, they drive their way to Denver this weekend for a tournament. Let’s cheer on our Bulldogs to victory. Kaci, like most of her team, wants to make the absolute most of their last year playing for the Palisade Bulldogs. As Kaci stated, “we wanna make the most of it by just having fun.”. As they lead into next week going into their game against Fruita coming in at 4-,1 we will all be cheering on our Bulldogs.

Yo, I’m Dallas. This is my first year writing for Palisade. I enjoy bull riding, writing and math. When I'm not writing or riding, you can find me watching football or baseball games. I'm excited to start sending out stories for Palisade and let everyone know more about the school. I hope soon enough to start photography for the papers. I can't wait to start writing for you all!
