Looking back on my first year with the Palisade Paw Post, I am eternally grateful for the connection I have been able to share through this team. Working on the paper has been one of the best decisions of my freshman year, being able to do what I love with people I love. At the beginning of the year, going out to interview my peers was very stressful, and I always made my best friend Sailor go with me. As the year went on, I began to enjoy going out to talk to people, as it broadened my skills and experiences. I love writing, and it has been one of my favorite things to do since I was very young. I competed in several writing competitions and even tried to publish my own book in the third grade, but with the attention span of a third grader that dream fizzled out fast. I still love to write though, so being a member of the Palisade Paw Post has been a great medium for me to expel my thoughts and time. The environment of the class is one I would call home here at Palisade. It has been so incredible to have the opportunity of interacting with and interviewing my peers, exploring all school, local, and world events, and writing stories to share with my community. I love feeling like I always know not only what is going on at our school, but also in our local community and all throughout the globe. I catch myself always looking forward to the class, being able to share a laugh with the team, and work on pieces to keep our community informed. Thank you so much for this year Palisade Paw Post, I am so excited to see what next year has in store for me. Until then, go Bulldogs!
