End of The Year

What a year it’s been for the Palisade Paw Post. We’ve grown so much as a program and we can only go up from here. Our staff has been incredible this year and I don’t think we could have asked for better people to run our incredible newspaper!
This year we launched a brand new website for our paper, a huge improvement that propelled us forward quality-wise. But, we couldn’t have done any of it without our sponsors! Thank you to every business that sponsored the Paw Post this year, we are so incredibly grateful for all of the support to help us grow and establish the Paw Post as a significant factor of our school.
I want to personally thank Mr. Franklin and any other staff member who has been here since day one. I came to Palisade at the beginning of Sophomore year, I was late for signing up for classes, so when I met with my counselor she only gave me three options for electives, one of them being Newspaper. I had always enjoyed writing but never found too much interest in news or journalism, so I was a bit hesitant. I remember Mr. Franklin telling everyone about where he wanted to take the newspaper class that he had just been handed. I guess his little speech had me so excited for the future of the program, I found myself sitting in on a small meeting and volunteering to be the Sports editor. It’s crazy to me that it’s almost been two years since then. The Paw Post has grown so much and I couldn’t be happier with it. I’ve made some of the best connections with people in this amazing class, and I can’t wait to make more with any new writers. Most of all, I continue to look up to Mr. Franklin and his incredible genuineness, I treasure that I have someone I can go to with just about anything on campus, the way I can with Franklin.
Overall this has been an incredible year, we’re all going to miss our incredible Seniors, Jadyn, Ally, and Kodie so much. However, we look forward to the amazing memories we still have left to build in our incredible program.
