Palisade Paw Post is proud to announce Senior Annmarie Barnes, known as Annie, this week’s female student of the week. Barnes has displayed her hard work ethic and the positivity that she brings to the students around her at Palisade High School. Barnes plays a part as a role model for the students at Palisade, and has inspired many.
Barnes states, “I feel very good about earning student of the week, although I didn’t even know it was a thing until now. It makes me feel appreciated.” Barnes shows leadership and great skillmanship to her teachers and peers.
Barnes is also involved in many things outside of her academic career including choir, taking care of the fish hatchery, sometimes helping out with theatre, and ceramics. “I like the way that I am able to express myself through those art forms, and with the fish hatchery I love the way I can help out the environment and make a difference. My biggest inspiration would have to be coach Steele, because he is always pushing me to be better every day and he brings that energy that I need every day.”
Congratulations to Annmarie Barnes for receiving this week’s student of the week. Your kindness and passion for the things that you do are something that inspire tons of Palisade students. Keep up the good work and keep doing what you do best at Palisade High School!
