As the Russia and Ukraine war continues almost going on for three years. Russia is still attacking what is left of Ukraine and Ukraine is still defending what they have left. Russia wants a piece of land from Ukraine because mostly Russians live there. Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin has his forces ready to send a huge missile attack on Ukraine. Ukraine official has been told about this and is ready to defend. When Donald Trump was elected as President of the United States he made a claim that he is going to end the war. Ukraine has hope since the election and believe that Trump is gonna change there lives but cant afford to lose focus on defending Russian troops. Trump talked to Putin and advised him to not escalate the war anymore because he feels there’s no need for this war anymore. Putin, despite knowing what T rump said, continues to try and get land from Ukraine. The U.S. has a possibility of coming and storming in Ukraine to stop Russia.
A social studies teacher here at Palisade shared his thought about the war. Mr.Kennedy states “Donald Trump might be able to, he’s promised to end it the only reason I think he’ll be able to is he can possible put pressure on both sides. Ukraine is still trying to fight whatever territory they have and Russia is trying to go for apart of Ukraine. Very much has Ukraine has been impacted nearly 3.7 million people have moved out, which is like the 10th of population. Like they have lost thousands of people and there economy is very bad and its gonna be a hard recovery for Ukraine.”
