The Girls Wrestling season is soon advancing with preseason practicing already starting, and excitement and passion growing each day. Practices are every Monday and Thursday from 4:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. This year, the girls are coached by their incredible head coach Chad Dare. The team is not only Palisade wrestlers, but also all four of the High Schools around the Valley. They come together to make one team, learning and growing together and connecting the four schools. Amaiah Aguilar is a Freshman this year and will be entering her first season here at Palisade. She says, “I have been wrestling for two years. My goal this season is to grow as a wrestler and also to grow with my team. I hope we make it to State and be the best we can this season. I’m excited this year for regionals and to just be a part of the team.” Senior Tya Pinnt says,“This is my second season wrestling and I like wrestling a lot. My goal this season is to hopefully make it to state and get better. I’m excited to meet new friends and just get to wrestle more.”
The girls are looking towards a very good season as the results from last year. “Last season went really well, we had eleven girls make it to state,” Pinnt says, “We placed second in state and overall the season went very well. I enjoyed it very much.”
Good to our Girls Wrestlers as they enter the 2024-2025 season. Make sure to cheer them on and show our girls lots of support. Go Bulldogs!
