The seventh annual college application week was hosted from Tuesday October 15th until Thursday October 17th all throughout the state of Colorado. Free College Application Days gave students all across the state the opportunity to apply for a college for free. On Free College Application Day multiple private institutions waive their application fees making it free for anyone who applied from October 15-17th. However Colorado Mesa University having its own application deadline of October 20th with a 63-81% acceptance rate, makes extremely easy to get into and they even accept a below average GPA minimum of 2.4. Each college having its own application with its own instructions to sign up such as CMU’s instructions were that for a CMU application, the fee will immediately be waived however as for a Common application, its a lot easier only having to select Colorado Free Application Day on the dropdown that asked whether you are eligible to apply for CMU or not. However, it is recommended that you wait until at least Junior year to work on college apps. Colorado Free Application Day is meant to improve access to further education and training, giving even the people who can’t afford college a chance to get into one. Each college’s registration was a little different with some making you submit codes, others were having people select dropdowns and some colleges even have no special instructions and no fees year round. They will be hosting one next year as well make sure you apply for a college!
