This past Friday, October 18th, our Palisade Bulldogs took on the Eagle Valley Devils and absolutely swept the floor with them. Our Dogs have become a fearsome competitor for every high school in the region, with very teams standing even the closest of chances. Going into the game, our girls had a 11 win streak, and left with a 12.
Our Bulldogs put the hammer down on the Devils, with a quick victory of 3-0. All three sets of this game were strongly Bulldog led, with our girls holding the Devils to 15-17 points per set. Showing off our strong consistency, the first two sets ended with a final score 25-15 and the last set ended 25-17.
The girls are coming to an end of their season on a very high note with lots of wins under their belt. Senior Grace McAnany has been playing all four years of her high school career. She is part of a dynamic septet of Seniors, providing a strong group of leaders for the younger players on the team. McAnany says “I’m feeling sad but also excited as we come to the end of the season with all of our Seniors. It will be the last time we play with each other as a team and its bittersweet.”
The girls are beginning to prepare for the Regional and State competitions. “I am super excited for these two.” McAnany says. “The energy at State is something that is so special and I can’t wait to experience that with this team one last time.”
Great job so far this season Bulldogs, and good luck with the last few games. Go Bulldogs!
