The great American tradition of voting every 4 years is coming up fast and furious. Are you registered to vote? Well if you are here’s all the facts about how the voting works. First off let’s start with dates to remember!
October 11, 2024- First day mail ballots can be sent to voters for November 5th general election and 24 hour drop boxes.
October 21, 2024- Voting service and polling centers.
October 28, 2024- Last day the elections office is allowed to mail ballots to voters and last day to submit a voting registration form and still receive a mail ballot.
November 5, 2024– General Election Day.
November 13, 2024- Last day to receive military and overseas (UOCAVA) ballots in order to be counted as well as the last day for a voter to cure a signature discrepancy or to provide a missing ID.
November 27, 2024- Last day to complete canvass and submit the official abstract of votes casts. We all know that every 4 years people all across the United States go out of their way just to vote for president. However, this year is no ordinary voting year cause this time there is a woman running for president, which as you may know happens rarely. Making this year’s elections a rough battle for president between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump!

All voters who are voting in-person need to provide an ID, though there are many ways to present an ID.
Are accessible voting machines available in every polling location? Yes, all accessible voting machines are open for use in all locations.
Can people observe the voting process? Most polls have their own poll watchers assigned to observe the voting process. Poll watchers may observe the whole voting process from before it starts until after the results of the election are posted.
Can I still vote in line past 7 pm on election day? Yes, no matter what, all voters in line by 7:00 pm can vote and it doesn’t matter how long it takes him/her to vote. Make sure to vote this year Bulldogs!
