“DINK , ACE , Double bounce, backhand!” These are some of the many sayings that you will be hearing if you come to the FCA hosted pickleball tournament on October 6th at 2pm at the Palisade courts by the Peach Bowl. This tournament is a welcome all so anyone can come and play, but there can only be 20 teams so it’s a first come first serve. FCA advises you to come watch or play as there is a Chick-Fil-A gift card on the line for the winner. The only rule for the tournament is you and your partner have to come up with a name and have to be matching throughout the tournament or you will get deducted points. FCA (standing for Fellowship of Christian Athletes) is a school club here at Palisade that helps Christian kids or athletes at Palisade connect closer with God. What FCA does as Brenae Snover stated, “We do ice breakers for everyone and read parts of the Bible, then we have snacks for everyone to enjoy.” Why do a pickleball tournament as Brenae Snover, a senior and one of the FCA leaders here at Palisade stated: “ The reason for the pickleball tournament is because it is for competition. If you like competition I recommend it.” Brenae also stated, “I want to do this tournament to bring everyone at Palisade closer, which includes everyone.” Brenae Snover has been in FCA all four of her years here at Palisade. Brenae Snover is an FCA leader that helped set everything into place.
