Putt, Putt Swing! The Palisade boys golf team hit a hole in one this Monday and Thursday. As the season continues so does there hard work and passion to get to gold at regionals.
Varsity boys golf had a tournament at the beginning of this week September 9th, at Yampa Valley Golf Course. Palisade Placed 10th overall with a team score of 380. Senior Taylor Cowdrey shot first for Palisade and 20th overall with a final score of 86. Second place for Palisade, Junior Jackson Martin, shot a 90. He has been playing for Palisade all three of his high school career. He states, “The tournament on September 10th was a rough day, all of us kind of struggled but there was a lot of growth that happened. I think our next round with be better.”
JV boys golf had a tournament Thursday September 5th, at Lincoln Park Golf Course. Palisade hosted the tournament and shot 4th place, with a overall score of 234. Thee JV Bulldogs only play nine holes for their tournaments. Senior Joseph Zambrano placed first this tournament with a score of 47. It’s his first year golfing for Palisade but he has played for the last few years not competitively.
The boys season is quickly approaching the end, with the JV Championship being on Wednesday, September 18th. Our Palisade Bulldogs host this 18-hole tournament at our home course, Chipeta. Great job so far this season, and good luck on the last couple!
