The Palisade Softball girls have been kicking this season so far with their three wins in a row at home they have beaten Delta, Cedaredge, and Eagle Valley. Looks like the girls are already having a great season with their wins. Elizabeth Fleming is a Junior and has been playing for four years. She plays Middle Infield, “They’ve been alright, we all are just warming back up to binging in real games and situations. It’s been a transition but we won all three games and they went well.” These games have been a way to show how good the girls are and this is just the beginning of their awesome season.
The girls have been practicing hard and doing good as a team making games go smoothly for them. Elli Dorr is a Senior, she has been playing for Palisade for three years. She plays outfield.“The games so far have been really fun. I really enjoy the new coach, Shon Birch and how the team works.”
“Beating Delta was definitely my favorite part of the season because last year they beat us for senior night by a lot, so it was fun to come back for our first game,” Dorr adds. The girls have been really competitive at the start of the season, which brings them confidence. This helped them win these games like the champs they are. Fleming says, “In yesterday’s game Anaiah Guajardo hit a home run and it was a solid hit, it was really nice to see.” That’s a excellent way to start the season with great hits earning these wins with all the positive energy the softball girls bring and always hyping each other up.
