The Palisade Bulldogs have been preparing for the upcoming soccer season, practicing morning and to night. The running never stops just like their passion to make it to the top.
Our boys soccer team has big plans this year, with dedication and hard work they put in. Their goals this year are exciting and as one of the senior varsity players Joshua Rodriguez said, “Make it to the playoffs and as far as we can. Hopefully be in the top 100 in Colorado. We’re looking to beat Central and Grand Junction which is highly possible. It’s my senior season and I hope we do well this year and give it our all.”
Practices have been a big part of getting the boys ready for the coming season. Practice is not only a place to get better but to connect with your friends. One of the Sophomore varsity players Talan Despain says practice, “has been pretty fun. The level is harder and more challenging which gives me room to grow more. Just getting better.”
Games are coming up and our boys are ready and coming into it determined and prepared. This year we have we feel confident and as one of the JV players, Dylan Alfaro-Villegas says, “This season I feel like we’re gonna win more games because we’re mostly at home. We know the value more than the other teams. Coach is gonna be harder on us if we lose which gives us motivation to do our best. We are going to show how much we’ve grown from last year.”
The first home game is the 27th against Rifle at Longs Park at 4pm. Come out this year and show your Bulldogs some support!
