The 2024 PHS graduation has officially come to an end, and bidding farewell to all the seniors has been a heartwarming experience. The ceremony began with all PHS faculty taking their seats, right where the graduates would later be. After a while, the graduates emerged on both sides of the track at Stoker Stadium, accompanied by the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance Graduation Walking March” playing in the background. Then, all the graduates took their seats.
Principal Mr. Bollinger from PHS went on stage and started speaking. First, the US national anthem played, followed by a moment of silence for the PHS students who left too early.
The 2024 PHS graduation lasted around three hours and featured many awards and speeches from various students. It was a very good graduation. Near the end, it was evident that the graduates were eagerly awaiting a particular moment. They had special speeches from students that were very well-received
At the end, the graduates formed a circle and, after completing it, they performed the cap toss.
The graduation was indeed very special. The speeches were heartfelt and something we will all remember. We bid farewell to all the 2024 seniors and wished them the best of luck in their journey after high school.
I had the opportunity to speak to Zeke Collins, a current junior who will be a senior next year. He said that the graduation was very special and he sincerely hopes that the seniors leaving have good luck.
