Volleyball season has started at PHS and we are very proud of our girls so far! Last Saturday the lady Bulldogs traveled to take on the Montrose Red Hawks, The Bulldogs took down the Red Hawks, Which was no surprise considering our 2-0 winning streak and Bulldog spirit. Our awesome team captains Addie Ritterbush and Braeleigh MacAskill are doing a great job helping the team and winning both the games we’ve had so far against Bayfield high school on Saturday August 26, According to The Daily Sentinel “The Bulldogs were especially effective from the service line, collecting 19 aces. Kyra Birch led Palisade with six aces and Sabrina Landman added five. Birch and Landman were the kill leaders as well, with Birch tallying nine and Landman seven. Braeleigh MacAskill had a solid day with 26 assists and nine digs and Addie Ritterbush had one solo block and two block assists.” and Montrose High School on Tuesday August 29. Both of our team captains have been on the PHS team for three years and said the season has been great so far, Addie said “it’s been really fun and super exciting to be on the team again.” Our team has been great so far but there is always room for improvements, Addie and Braeleigh both gave input on what they think would help the team become better like keeping positive attitudes and working more on defense as well as becoming more confident and coming together more as a team. Good work PHS volleyball and go Bulldogs!
