Many people love horror movies because of the suspense and anticipation. The most recent horror movie that came out is Ethan Hawke’s Black Phone 2, the first movie was a fan favorite. The original Black Phone movie won a total of ten awards and received eighteen nominations. Freshman Lily Abeyta says, “I love horror movies and the original Black Phone was definitely one of my favorites, I for sure have high expectations for the second one.” As a horror movie lover, Abeyta seems to know what is going on. Black Phone 2 came out in theatres on October 17, 2025 and so far as of October 28th has around 336 Million views.
The original movie left off on quite the cliff hanger and left fans contemplating about what may happen next. Abeyta was also asked how she felt that Black Phone 2 will be different from the first one and replied with, “I think that it’s all going down in this one, but to be completely honest, I feel like the new movie won’t be as good as the first.” Fans are having mixed emotions about how they think this movie will be. People online are debating about how this movie will be different from the original and are coming up with all sorts of different ideas and theories using hints from the original Black Phone movie.
