Congratulations to Junior Jamyson Mancuso for being selected for this week’s Female Athlete of the Week. Her hard work and dedication throughout her sport and academics does not go unnoticed. Mancuso is a first and second baseman for Palisade High School’s softball team, and takes great pride in her work. When asked how she felt about being selected she said “It feels good to be chosen because softball has become more fun than work”. This goes to show that Mancuso truly loves the sport she plays and will continue to put forth the effort to make the team successful. Being a student athlete isn’t always easy, between school work and practice the work load can get heavy, but for Mancuso she “manages to get it done by knowing what school work I have to do and when.” This dedication and school life balance shows how determined Mancuso is to be successful in every aspect of her life, no matter what challenges she may face. Mancuso’s advice she would give an upcoming freshman to be successful is “keep pushing even when times get challenging, your work eventually becomes a fun game that will come to an end. Keep it simple, do what you can, and eventually it will give you something in return”. Those are truly inspiring words that can truly leave an impact on someone starting their first high school sports. Congratulations again Jamyson Mancuso for being selected for this week’s Female Athlete of the Week.
