Palisade’s boy’s soccer team defeats the Central Warriors with a 3-0 clean sheet this Homecoming week. Many were uneasy this Tuesday night as the Bulldogs were getting ready to face the Warriors soccer team after an inconsistent season from the Bulldogs so far this year. With the referee signaling for the match to start the Bulldogs came out strong against the Warriors holding back all attacks that would have put the Bulldogs in a disadvantage coming into the game. As the game went on Andrew Dady put one in the back of the net from an assist by Sebestian Urdaneta. Not long after James (Cy) Hobbs responded with yet another goal now putting the Bulldogs up 2-0 against the Warriors. As the first half progressed the Bulldogs were able to maintain the score before the whistle signaling the end of the half. With the Bulldogs ahead by two the second half of the game was underway, with Central going back and forth between attacks Striker Jayden Ford, sending a bullet into the back of the net now setting Central back by three goals. Central, now desperate to pick up the scraps and score at least one goal, but Palisade refused to let up and let Central gain the satisfaction of a goal. With the blow of the final whistle Palisade shuts out Central with a 3-0 win. Senior Andrew Dady had this to say when asked about his goal, “ I had been dreaming about this moment my entire life”. This moment is very special for many, especially with it being Dady’s first goal in a Varsity match. When asked about what he thought about the outcome of the game Dady stated, “We could’ve done better, but overall I was happy with the outcome”. As the boys look to face Coal Ridge for their next matchup many hope to see another win for Palisade.
