On Friday the third, Palisade students, staff, and family surrounded the streets of downtown Palisade for Palisade High School’s Homecoming parade. The crowd was full of cheerful people, bringing a positive vibe for all. Students were released from school early to walk to main street to support their peers, as this has been a tradition for years. The parade involved everything that students can join throughout the school, such as clubs, class electives, or sports. During the circus themed parade, we saw many people in animal costumes, showman costumes, and circus related attire. Not only were the outfits a small detail, the floats took countless hours to work on. After watching the parade for the first time, Freshman Kierra Shannon says, “I would recommend watching the parade. It was fun seeing all of the different floats, as well as the people in them. It was cool to see all of this put together by my peers.” Shannon states that without all of Palisades hard work, a homecoming parade would have been impossible to put together. While many enjoyed watching, some participated in the parade such as Freshman Kenzie Dibsie, a member of Palisade’s high school volleyball team. Dibsie says “I would recommend others to watch or participate in the parade next year, being on the float was a lot of fun, and we just threw candy and waved.” Dibsie shared that the parade was a highlight for the volleyball team, and a great team bonding experience. Overall, the parade this year was a great success and brought a lot of views to our clubs, sports, and school.

Trinity Palmer, STAFF WRITER
Hi, my name is Trinity Palmer, and I am a current Freshman here at Palisade High School in the DP program. I am a current staff writer for the Paw Post, and can’t wait! My love for cameras and writing began in 7th grade when I got involved with Yearbook at Mount Garfield Middle School. Outside of School I love boating, hiking, paddleboarding, camping, and skiing with my family. I am looking forward to this school year!

Yo, I’m Dallas. This is my second year writing for Palisade. I enjoy bull riding, writing and math. When I’m not writing or riding, you can find me watching football or baseball games. I’m this year’s graphic design editor excited to start sending out stories and editing pictures for Palisade and letting everyone know more about the school and make some sick photos for yall. I hope soon enough to start photography for the papers. I can’t wait to start writing for you all!
