First thing in the morning on the 25th, students at Palisade high school gathered around the flag pole, praying together and openly sharing and showing their faith. This event was a big deal since at PHS we have a FCA club, which stands for Fellowship of Christian Athletes which is a big thing for students who are Christian. Many students at PHS connect in this way, so when this meeting happened it was a big deal for many at PHS. Even students who didn’t know about the event joined in and prayed around the flagpole. Numerous other students saw and were inspired by the act, while other students knew and looked forward to it. Freshman Gabriella Hurd who attended the whole meeting stated, “I think it was a really inspiring moment for the Christian community at Palisade, the turnout was really great.” Many other students at Palisade shared the same view on the meeting and found the whole event inspiring. At Palisade High School, no matter what you believe in, you are welcome to show your beliefs and be passionate about them no matter what they may be, and PHS is a welcoming and accepting community that is open to you sharing whatever you are passionate about. Either if it’s your religion, other beliefs you have, or things you are just invested in and want to share, Palisade supports all of that and you belong here.

River Moore, Staff Writer
Hello, my name is River Moore. I’m one of the staff writers at PHS and a freshman this year. This is my first year writing for the Palisade Paw Post and I am so excited to become part of the newspaper team and community. Some of my interests include reading, listening to music, writing, spending time with my friends and family, as well as camping and hiking. I’m looking forward to getting to know the people in the Palisade Paw Post and writing stories that represent PHS.
