The famous Chinese fast food restaurant, Panda Express will be constructing a new building in Clifton on 3226 I70b, although there is no scheduled opening date yet. This will be the second Panda Express coming to town, the other on 2422 Patterson Road, in Western Grand Junction near the Mesa Mall. The first restaurant opened on March 28, 2024, after the construction started on April 6, 2023. It has only been just over a year since the first location was opened.
When asked how he feels about the second restaurant, Junior Brody Robison said “We absolutely need a second one” Robison also stated “I am a huge fan of the place, it’s amazing.” There are a lot of people who like Panda Express. It is a popular place with the location in Grand Junction having a 4.5 star rating on Seamless. It will also be a convenient location for kids at Palisade, instead of going to the other side of Grand Junction, they can just go into Clifton. With the convenient location, there is lots of excitement for the second restaurant to open. According to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, the property was sold for $1.6 million in April. The restaurant will be where the former Taco John’s was located. The Daily Sentinel also stated that the owner of the Taco John’s had been intending to sell the property for some time before the sale and the new buyer was constructing a Panda Express restaurant, and so the new restaurant was set to be built. Once it is built, it will be much more convenient for the surrounding area.
