The wind was cold and the snow was heavy, players were slipping up and down the field but that didn’t stop the Bulldogs. Even through the bad weather conditions, the Palisade Bulldogs managed to bring home an awesome win. Both JV and Varsity did their best and put their hearts on the field as they played against Titans.
Throughout the game, they made minor mistakes but even when they did they recovered quickly. They limited ball time for Coal Ridge, defense was quick to get the ball off their goal side. Freshman Hadley Fenske states, “Some weaknesses we had, were we made some small mistakes like our passing but we were quick to recognize that and attempt to fix that as soon as we could.”
In the first half, the team managed to score four goals, showing an amazing half. They put in hard work and did not let Coal Ridge score on them. Some amazing saves happened by Senior Brenae Snover who is varsity’s goalie. During the second half, they were able to score two more goals, ending the game with a final score of 6-0. Fenske also states, “I feel like the game went pretty good, and a team we played hard and we wanted that win. During this game we had strengths like playing aggressively from the start to the end.”
