A tough game was played against Coal Ridge High School It was also an emotional game because it was girls Senior night. Support was shown throughout the stands, and the energy was great for their last home game. Seniors have not only played a sport but have grown with people on the team and truly grew as a family altogether. Many special bonds and memories were created that will never be forgotten and will always be memories. There is one game remaining left of the regular season and the record is 13-9. Frankly, it was a great season for the varsity players. Senior varsity player Kyra Birch states, “I have been playing basketball since I was in second grade and sadly my season was cut short this year due to a knee injury back in January. This season is going great so far, I think our team this year has a very strong connection and we all support each other which helps us all to succeed. The score at the end of the game was 47-38 and we won. I am very sad this is my last season but I look at the positives and how thankful I am to be a part of this program.”
Senior Varsity player Addie Ritterbush also said “I have been playing basketball since third grade and I was injured, I have not been able to play which is sad. I feel we played not the best but we fought hard and did some really good things, and we also learned a lot from that game. As a team we have progressed greatly from when the season began and it was awesome to see that.” Good job Bulldogs!
