The Palisade bulldogs once again went home on senior night with a happy victory. Last Friday, the Palisade Bulldogs took on the Glenwood Spring Demons. The Bulldogs went home ecstatic with the final score being 35-14. The Bulldogs once again dominated a team leaving their record on the season 8-2 bringing our home win games 6-0 and our away games 2-2 with a win streak of six games. Senior Vincent Johnston said “ We have had a great season. I’m glad we got out there and got stuff done.” He also stated, “ this game was great, we started off slow but picked it up and got to business.” Johnson being a Senior means that Friday night’s game could potentially be his last for Palisade. This is very heartbreaking as he has played for Palisade all four years of his high school career, he claims, “ It’s scary to think this could be my last game for Palisade, but I know it won’t because we will get business done and advance in the playoffs.” He also said, “ these guys are all like a second family to me, they’re all super supportive and we all support each other so it’s gonna be hard to leave.” Johnson plays three positions, his two main positions being defensive tackle on defense and a guard on offense.
The Palisade Bulldogs play this Friday the 15th with the fourth seed in the playoffs. They play the Severance Silver Knights hosting the playoffs so show up and cheer on our Bulldogs!
