As fall is creeping around the corner, the boys soccer season is creeping towards the end. Palisade Boys Soccer played The Glenwood Springs Demons on Tuesday, October 1st. Palisade boys soccer suffered a devastating 6-0 defeat against the demons. Junior Andrew Dady who plays swing (JV and Varsity teams) stated: “ I felt pretty terrible about the game, but at the same time I think we had a pretty valid excuse since we are missing our best striker, one of our best defenders, and our best goalkeeper.” Dady also stated: “ It felt really good to get a lot of minutes against Glenwood, it showed that coach trusted me and my ability to play against a tough opponent. I would also say that Talan Despain (Sophomore) played the best during the game, especially as a younger guy on the field.” Due to the absences of 3 of the starters and some injuries that had happened during the game for the Palisade Boys soccer team, all of the players on swing got to play a very respectable amount of minutes in the game against Glenwood. Andrew also claimed: “ Hate to see a 6-0 loss, but at the same time it’s good motivation for the team to get going for the end of the season.” The Palisade boys soccer team has four games left in the season. Their next home game will be October 9th at Colorado Mesa University. It is also the Boys Senior night as it is the last home game of the season. Make sure to go support the boys soccer team and the Seniors. Go Bulldogs!!!
