After a week full of fantastic events, homecoming has ended and the Seniors have come out on top with a total of 180 points! For the second time in their high school career, the Seniors participated with extreme spirit and enthusiasm and definitely deserved the Spirit Bone.
The Spirit Bone is a highly valued fake dog bone that shows who was best at all the homecoming activities and gives bragging rights to the grade that won it. Ava Pearson, a senior, speaks of her experience with homecoming, “I think that every single class works really hard and that it’s been a really sentimental journey because as Freshmen, we were so bad, we were awful, and I think that’s really the beauty of it, seeing each class progress and each class improve as a group each year.” Despite not participating in PowderPuff, Pearson has participated in the past and still supported the team the whole way through. The Senior Ruff N’ Tuff and PowderPuff teams did great this year, getting 2nd and 1st place, respectively, and the Seniors got second in hall decorations. After a year without it, the class of 2025 has once again received the Spirit Bone, blowing the other classes out of the water. The Seniors had a huge lead on the Juniors, who were followed by the Staff, and, in last place, the Sophomores and Freshmen. The Seniors were the most spirited and enthusiastic class this year, so congratulations to the Seniors for winning the 2024-2025 Spirit Bone!
