What’s Up Bulldogs! On September 9th, 2024, Palisade High School assembled a Powder Puff and Ruff and Tuff, where boys play volleyball and girls play dodgeball. But today we’re going to be talking about Powder Puff which is the girls playing dodgeball. Make sure to go check out our other staff writer, George Walker who is writing about Ruff N’ Tuff where the boys play volleyball. With a recap on what happened on Monday with Powder Puff, it started with the Juniors and Sophomores playing against each other, and then the Freshmans and Seniors played against each other. The Juniors won against the Sophomores and Seniors won against the Freshmans. After that, the losing bracket was played in which Freshmans and Sophmores played against each other where the Freshmans ended up winning the match. The event ended with the winning bracket against each other which was Seniors and Juniors, in which the Seniors ended up with being the final winners.
Continuing Powder Puff, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the Seniors who won against the Juniors, played Palisade High School’s teachers. Here’s one of Palisades teachers Ms. Kemper’s insight, who was one of the players that played against the Seniors, “It was great, it was fun, it was a little wild and chaotic as always but it was a good time”- “My thinking while playing was just to get the seniors out and to not lose. We didn’t really get a chance to practice or strategize, so we were just coming up with stuff at the moment…”
Next, we have some students of Palisade High School who were interviewed while the game between Seniors and Teachers were playing. Juniors Sadie and Rylin state, “I’m so excited I hope they crush the Seniors”- “I’m sorry that the Juniors lost to the teachers in volleyball, but the teachers are going to win dodgeball.”
This is it for today! Thank you for reading this. Make sure to have a good and exciting Homecoming Bulldogs!
