“When is it gonna stop! When is it gonna stop.” is what we were all thinking as we were on the edge of our chairs this Thursday at the annual fall assembly fall athletes gave us a tense face off between Mason Kopp and Easton Embrey in the infamous musical chairs.
The fall sports assembly is a Palisade tradition, showing off our great athletes and thanking them
for all they do for Palisade. It was a great assembly showing off all the players and the sports that Palisade offers. The fall sports assembly is a great way to show off how palisade feels and represents their sports. One of the biggest things Palisade has to offer is their sports and we are very passionate about that. We believe here at Palisade that sports reduce dropout percentages and help kids focus on classes. I interviewed Mason Kopp regarding his competitiveness in musical chairs. You may not know the name but trust me you know the face. Mason was the kid leaping and diving through people just to stay alive in the infamous musical chairs.as he represented boys golf. For a calm sport this kid was the most energetic there. For his first year in golf, he definitely made his teammates proud taking second place. When I talked to Mason he said “my main goal was to represent golf but winning is a plus.” Sadly, he fell just short behind Easton Embrey. Lucky for Mason, there is always next year and we all wouldn’t doubt his passion to win is even bigger after just falling short.
