Palisade football players are getting pumped up for their upcoming season. The players foresee an excellent season as the team is built with knowledge, strength, and good enthusiasm. The Palisade Bulldog football team is hoping to add another state championship to their legacy. This year the football team has a large sum of around 75 players.
Palisade Senior, Kaleb Reed says, “I am beyond excited for this season, and it is going to be one of our best seasons yet as there are more Seniors this year.” He is very confident in the team’s abilities . “Our goal for this season is to win league as a team and to come out confident, and dominate more teams including Grand Junction and Central.” Kaleb’s positions are running back and middle linebacker. The team started practice a week ago but have been working hard off season all summer. This is Palisade Junior, Jeremiah Smith’s, third year playing for Palisade. Jeremiah plays tight end and outside linebacker. He states, “Our strength is that we have a lot of Seniors, and a lot of knowledge, and we are very strong physically and mentally.” Jeremiah also says, “Our goal is to win a lot more games this season than we did last season, and claim that State Title”. The football players are very excited for a great season. The first Varsity game is going to be on August 30th Vs. Delta High school, at Stocker Stadium.
