Pink, orange, purple, blue! These were just some of the bright colors that draped over the Palisade High School grass area last Friday, August 9th. With storm clouds brewing only minutes before, a chance of rain didn’t stop the annual color dance. Set up by the Student Council, the dance was a colorful rager with dusts of powder and pools of paint. Along with a mosh pit featuring upbeat tunes, waterslides to cool off in, and concessions sold by FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), the dance was definitely one to remember for all students. With the hot summer still looming, the slow drizzle that fell during the dance was a nice way to stay cool. Senior Nick Reyes exclaimed the dance in a very passionate way: “I had a lot of fun at the color dance,” he said, “it’s definitely my favorite school dance because you get to dress casually while also getting very messy. Just the whole vibe of the dance is a lot more energetic and engaging.” This being his fourth year attending the school’s traditional dance, Nick says this was his favorite and the one he will remember the most.
