Panda Express just opened a new location around the Mesa Mall area last Thursday. Since the opening it has been packed, seeing as this is the first Panda Express ever not only in Grand Junction but also in western Colorado. Panda Express owns roughly 2300 locations around the United States.
Panda Express was built in only 1 year and also includes a drive-through. They offer all the regular food items like chow mein fried rice and also beef broccoli walnut shrimp and orange chicken. They also had a side that was not regular, a churro-like spring roll with apple filling inside. Since It is so new, spending 15 minutes in line is not unusual and that paired up with it being 20 minutes away from Palisade students who want to try out Panda Express have little time to do so.
Panda Express is one of the newest additions of fast food franchises that have appeared in Grand Junction along with five guys and culvers. One restaurant that has been talked about coming to the valley is Cracker Barrel which has been set to come shortly also near the Mesa Mall around where Sunderland was.
On Wednesday Jonathan Vazquez a junior student at Palisade went to Panda Express and I asked him what he thought about Panda Express “I think it’s alright a little overrated” he also said “It’s good that we are getting a Panda Express I think it proof that the valley is growing”
Jonathan also has had it many times before like many people when they go to the big cities.
Hopefully, you get a chance to try it out if you have never tried out Panda Express also be careful in the parking lot because it is packed and you wouldn’t want a dent in your car because you wanted Panda Express.
