On Thursday, March 14th, our boys faced Central for an intown rivalry game. Central is 2-4 and Palisade is 3-2-1. Our boys won 13-2 during this match up. Many of the boys had great games at the plate including Sophomores Kian Kinslow and Will Seriani, and Junior Easton Embrey, all hitting 1.000. Kinslow racked in two RBI’s, along with Embrey. Junior Ascher Morby, and Embrey both had one triple. Kinslow had one double. Other boys who contributed at the plate include Sophomore Hunter Howard, hitting 0.667 with two RBI’s. Sophomore Dylon Larson and Kinslow both had one stolen base. Embrey pitched four innings, and collected eight strikeouts. Junior Christian Herrera came in to close it with one strikeout. Seriani had seven put-outs and Kinslow had three. None of the boys struck out in this game. The beginning of the game, Central outscored the boys 2-1 in the first inning, then in the third inning, the boys pulled ahead outsourcing Central 7-1, and continued that streak in the fourth inning outscoring them 5-0, closing out the game by run-ruling them in the fifth inning. “It was scary at first, but we pulled it together and got the win,” says first-baseman Kinslow. “I’ve been playing it forever (13 years), and it’s just fun,” says Kinslow on why he loves baseball. They played hard, and in the end grabbed the win against an intown rival. Good luck the rest of the season boys!!
