As the commotion of the third quarter starts to amp up, students eagerly await the rewarding spring break to get past the stupendous stress. Mr Kennedy, a history teacher at Palisade explains how spring break is a wonderful time for both students and teachers to replenish their motivation and focus in school. Mr. Kennedy says, “Spring break is a great way to give everyone a chance to get a break in between Christmas break and the end of the year. This allows students to recharge batteries and refocus for the last quarter.” This ability to recharge improves student’s focus after they come back from the break. Kennedy says, “Some students have a hard time focusing because they start thinking about summer but the vast majority of them are refreshed and motivated which improves their work and test scores.” Iris Rath, a Sophmore shares her excitement for spring break saying, “I’m really looking forward to seeing my sister during spring break and I think spring break is just a really nice break and I come back feeling recharged. I also look at spring break as a milestone because once we get back from break I can be like ‘okay only one more quarter till summer’.” Although spring break is the 13th through the 22nd of March, many students like Iris Wrath wish it could be as long as Christmas break. Spring break is an amazing time to recharge with fun activities and reconnect with friends and family. Bulldogs, we have less than one week until the long awaited break!
