A new role model Caitlyn Clark has broken records in Division One basketball. Breaking the all-time scoring record with 3,617 points of all time. This Iowa point guard is making more money in college than she would in the NBA. This season alone the most expensive ticket in women’s basketball history is a ticket to go see Iowa against Ohio because of this elite point guard. To go to this game for the least amount of money possible is $ 491. while the most expensive cost is 3,853$.Not only is she breaking records on the court she is breaking records off the court. Caitlyn Clark’s merch is being sold everywhere. As of right now, Caitlyn Clark is the top-selling college athlete. Caitlyn Clark’s income as a college athlete is just over 900,000 dollars. I asked Lula Hobbs what she thinks on the matter. “I think that it is so amazing that she broke the scoring record for women’s college basketball. More than that the fact that she is making the most sales on her merchandise is cool because she is a women’s athlete and usually women and athletes aren’t looked upon like men are. I am glad to see a woman that is being successful.” It is amazing what Caitlyn Clark is doing for women’s Basketball and the way she is performing. For the future getting to see the difference the WNBA is between college basketball would be very interesting as seeing how Caitlyn will perform in the years to come. I wish the best for her in her basketball journey. Go Caitlyn Clark!
