The past couple of days band kids have come up with new opportunities to be seen for their amazing skills on an instrument. Students could pay 5-6 dollars to go and play in front of judges. These ensembles were groups of students playing whatever they wanted, with no restrictions just getting to play. And this was not just for the students of Palisade this was an al
l-around concert for students everywhere to come out and show off their skills to professional judges. This is what Mr. Marshal, the band director at Palisade has to say about the fact.”I feel like it is a great opportunity for students to be able to showcase their talents and perform in small groups. They get this opportunity to challenge themselves with music they get to pick to be judged. We had about 25 groups go out and perform. Students were out here every day to work on their solos and ensembles to prepare them for these past people and I am so impressed on how hard they work for this. And for future students, this is a wonderful opportunity to have and an amazing experience to go through. “In all this year Palisade had about 40 students total perform in this festival. Students should not miss up on chances like this to better their opportunities as they get older, but the select few who had the dedication to work this hard for months just for this one performance is so amazing. We hope to see more of you next year and congratulations to all of those who participated this year in the ensemble .
