As the 2023-2024 school year is almost ¾ of its way complete, it is a great time to meet some of Palisade High School’s staff and learn about some exciting upcoming events! Nichole Pinnt is the principal secretary at PHS and has been working at Palisade for three years. Her job is to facilitate anything Mr. Bollinger needs as well as other staff members such as travel, answering the phone, and organizing schedules. Before her job at Palisade, Mrs. Pinnt worked at Mt. Garfield Middle School for over six years and later volunteered her time at Taylor Elementary. Although she has only been working here for three years, Mrs. Pinnt has already found a deep connection and love for the school. Pinnt says, “My favorite thing about working here is hanging out with kids. Here at Palisade, it is more open. People seem to be happier and more passionate when working together and everyone is more willing to support the students.”
Some upcoming events at Palisade include senior award night, graduation, and spring sports such as girls’ soccer, girls’ golf, girls’ tennis, boys’ swim, and track and field. Mrs. Pinnt explains her excitement for some of these events and says, “My favorite is senior award night and the Baccalaureate cause it shines a light on the students for their senior year. It is the last little bit of everything they have worked hard to accomplish in the last four years. Graduation is always super super fun as well.” There are only a few more weeks until the end of the quarter leading to spring break. This time is often the hardest time of the year for students to stay focused and motivated, however is most crucial to the second semester’s success. Good Luck Dogs!
